Ph.D. Project [2014–2017]
Infiltration Process in Sloping Layered Soils
The Ph.D. project is supervised by Professor Jianting (Julian) Zhu.
The goal of this project is to seek a better understanding of infiltration in sloping layered soils by developing physically-based simple and accurate models that can be further used in large-scale atmosphere subsurface interaction modeling. The Ph.D. project focuses on the development of semi-analytical infiltration models in sloping layered soils. The project is divided to several academic papers (see publication page), which explain the complicated evolution of infiltration in heterogeneous soil profile and/or in sloping surface.
